The mission of UAB “Biodinamika” is to contribute to sustainable agriculture by producing and supplying farmers and agricultural companies with high-quality organic fertilisers made from processed cattle bedding manure, organic sapropel and other bio-based raw materials.
In 2014 the company took over the technology and experience of producing such fertilisers from the beef-cattle farm UAB “Agrolinija”, and it continues to develop organic fertiliser production from the composted bedding manure supplied by the farm. To scale up production and expand the product range, in 2014–2016 UAB Biodinamika invested EUR 0.8 million in a new fertiliser plant in the village of Pypliai (Kaišiadorys district), an efficient drying and granulation line, and innovative technology and equipment for producing liquid fertilisers. The first granulated fertilisers were produced in early 2013 at the experimental plant of UAB “Agrolinija”. Together with scientists from the Agroecology Centre of Aleksandras Stulginskis University, a unique technology for granulating composted beef-cattle manure was refined. The fertilisers were produced as granules of 4 and 6 mm in diameter. Their chemical composition was analysed at the accredited EU laboratory Eurofins. The fertilisers were tested in open fields with mechanical spreaders and were found suitable for localised placement together with the sown seed. Localised application of granulated fertilisers is a new technology in modern agriculture. Tests were carried out in Germany at the laboratories of Amazonen-Werke H. Dreyer GmbH u. Co. KG, and at A. Stulginskis University localised fertiliser placement was tested with a VÄDERSTAD Rapid 300 C Super XL seed drill.
In 2014 we received an award for developing and implementing the technology for granulating composted beef-cattle manure, and for innovation – “Innovative Product”. The award was presented by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania.
In 2015 we received an award and recognition for the innovation project “Production of liquid organic fertilisers from ground cattle-manure compost, technology development and fertiliser efficacy research”. The project was carried out with the head of the Agroecology Centre of A. Stulginskis University, Assoc. Prof. Dr J. Pekarskas. The award was presented by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania.
In 2016, together with the head of the ASU Agroecology Centre, Assoc. Prof. Dr J. Pekarskas, scientific recommendations for using granulated and liquid fertilisers in agriculture were prepared and published. They are based on the results of field trials (see “Products”).
The chemical composition of the fertilisers has been analysed in detail together with the laboratories of the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry (LAMMC), EUROFINS Polska Sp. z o.o. and the Institute of Public Health in Ostrava.
Certificates confirming that AGROLINIJA-GRAN, AGROLINIJA-MK and AGROLINIJA-S are suitable for organic production and farming in accordance with Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 and Commission Regulation (EC) No 889/2008 were issued by the Lithuanian State Food and Veterinary Service (VATŽŪM).
In 2017 we received the award of the “KĄ PASĖSI…2017” exhibition – a medal and diploma for the liquid fertiliser AGROLINIJA-S that we developed and produce.
In June 2017 the installation and commissioning of the liquid-fertiliser plant was completed. An innovative, modern technology was introduced that allows UAB Biodinamika to produce liquid micronutrient fertilisers from highly humified cattle-manure compost and leonardite humic acids. The technology makes it possible to produce products of different concentrations with increased micronutrient, humic and fulvic acid content.
In February 2018, together with our partners in Poland, PPHU IGROPOL, we took part in the “Mazurskie AGRO SHOW 2018” exhibition in Ostróda.
“Europos burės” award 2018!
The innovative liquid-fertiliser production technology used to make AGROLINIJA-S won the main “Europos burės” 2018 award in the category “For the most innovative solutions”.
Together with A. Stulginskis University and the scientists Assoc. Prof. Dr Juozas Pekarskas, Assoc. Prof. Dr Algirdas Gavenauskas and their team, production field trials are being carried out with spring wheat “Lucilla” on 4.2 ha in the village of Gudzenkos (Kaišiadorys district) and with spring oilseed rape on 20 ha at the ASU experimental station. The trials involve foliar feeding with the liquid fertiliser AGROLINIJA-S to find out how much can be saved – and how much healthier and more abundant the harvest can be – with innovative bio-organic fertilisers!
Official representative of Biodinamika products in Poland
In January 2018 a representation agreement for Poland was signed with PPHU Igropol Plus.
AGROLINIJA-S has been listed in the German FiBL input list of fertilisers approved for organic farming, as well as on the lists of Demeter Germany, Demeter International, Ecovin Germany, Gäa and Naturland Germany.
We took part in the organic trade fair BIOFACH 2019 in Nuremberg (Germany).
Together with our partners in Poland – PPHU “Igropol” Plus – we took part in AGROSHOW 2019 in Ostróda.
We took part in the “Ką pasėsi..2019” exhibition, held on 4–6 April at the Agriculture Academy of Vytautas Magnus University (Akademija, Kaunas district).
Official representative of Biodinamika products in Iraq and Western Asia
In May 2019 a representation agreement for Iraq and other Western Asian countries was signed with LIFE SANITATION FOR GENERAL TRADING LTD.
Together with our partners in Germany – SELTON GmbH – we took part in the FiBL organic field days.
The organic field days took place on 3–4 July 2019 in Grebenstein, at the Staatsdomäne Frankenhausen state domain (Hesse). The event was organised by the research and experimental institute of the University of Kassel.
Agrolinija-S fertiliser won the “Innovation of the Year 2019” award!
